It is hard to believe that Ledo has been making pizza since 1955, during a time when pizza appeared to be a passing trend. When the restaurant first opened in Adelphi, Maryland, the owner’s had a fairly simple concept in mind; provide high quality food at a great value in a comfortable family setting. Word of mouth traveled and quickly Ledo became a favorite among local residents, the University of Maryland, as well as the Washington Senators.
Since 1955, very little has changed at Ledo. The pizza is still made the exact same way and the standards are still high. It is rolled to order with fresh handmade dough and is topped with the same high quality cheese and tomatoes. Ledo Pizza, a regional franchise, is now passing down the tradition to Bill Danner, the owner of the newest Ledo Pizza location, which can be found at 982 High House Road in Cary, North Carolina. At this location the high standards that made Ledo Pizza famous will be maintained and the legacy will live on. Owner Bill Danner has been anxiously waiting to open his doors and become a part of the Cary community. The spacious dining room consists of multiple tables and can accommodate many guests. The bar section is also open and will offer a wide variety of beer, wine, and liquor. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm, Friday through Saturday 11 am to 11 pm, and Sunday 11 pm to 9 pm.
Menu items include pastas, salads, subs, and square shaped pizzas that are prepared fresh. Some secrets of the delicious Ledo Pizza include sweet sauce, a flaky pastry style crust, and smoked provolone cheese.
Ledo Pizza has a 61-year tradition of serving the highest quality at the best value, because Ledo Pizza doesn’t cut corners!
