Washington, DC- WTOP 103.5 FM Radio recently held a customer vote to search for the best pizza in the DC Metro area. With the majority of the vote, at 38 percent, LEDO Pizza was the clear winner. The contest, which spanned over a weeks time, gathered more than 3,000 votes.
The fierce competition included: Tony’s NY Pizza, Zios, Vaces, 2 Amys, Mamma Lucias, Armands, Paisanos, Ciro’s NY Pizza and Gentleman Jim’s. Tony’s NY Pizza was the runner up with 14 percent.
There are many components that place LEDO Pizza above the rest. LEDO Pizza is best known its pies which are square shaped, have thin crust, a sweet sauce and use smoked provolone cheese. Thicker pepperoni is also a LEDO Pizza staple.

The restaurant dining room consists of seating for 90 and includes a carryout area. LEDO Pizza is conveniently located near the Best Buy on Retail Commons Parkway. Hours Monday through Thursday are 11 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday 11 am to 11 pm, and Sunday noon until 9 pm.
