Regardless of the snow on the ground and steady rain, a slew of pink clad participants and volunteers showed up for the 17th annual Susan G. Komen Maryland Race for the Cure in Hunt Valley, MD. LEDO Pizza was proud to be among them, handing out pink note pads and coupons alongside members of the ABC 2 News tent.
An impressive 29,000 people flooded Shawan Road for the 8am and 8:30am race and walk, which spanned 3.1 miles. The successful event raised $2.5 million dollars, 75 percent of which will be distributed to breast cancer programs across Maryland.
